Language Day Paragraph

Through a bloody struggle and a sacrifice of some selfless men we have preserved the prestige of our mother tongue. The Pak government wanted to seize our language. People of different classes protested vigorously against their conspiracy. So, they could not violate our inborn right. On 21st February, 1952 we achieved the right of our mother tongue through defeating the Pak force.

Every year we observe 21st February as our mother language day with due respect and honour. Our mother language day has been declared as International mother language day by UNESCO. So, 21st February is observed as International mother language day all over the world every year. The whole world has begun to respect our mother language after the declaration of UNESCO as International mother language day. So, it is our great achievement. Different types of seminars and symposiums regarding the importancelaof our mother tongue are held all over the world on 21 February.

The mass media telecasts different types of programmes regarding the importance of our mother tongue on 21 February. The print media publishes special supplements giving importance on our mother language. People from different classes take part in procession and go to Shaheed Minar in order to respect martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our mother tongue. So, 21 February is considered as a red letter day. In order to pay due respect to our martyrs and our mother tongue this day is observed with great solemnity throughout the world.
