The idea of digital Bangladesh means the overall development of Bangladesh. To make digital Bangladesh is a dream of the present government. This government has a particular vision which is called vision 2021.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has declared to make digital Bangladesh within a few years. All sectors should be brought under digital process. The government is working relentlessly to make digital Bangladesh. At first we will have to be clear about the word 'digital'.
The word digital means the development of technology. Actually it means computer based technology. Bangladesh is a developing country. She has a poor technology in all sectors. Agriculture is our main sector. So, this sector must be flourished by adopting higher technology. Our commercial sector is not in a good position because of poor technology. So, the present government would like to launch higher technology in agricultural and commercial sectors. To make digital Bangladesh, the government has to be careful about the skilled manpower.
Bangladesh needs skilled manpower. It has huge population. But most of them are not skilled. They are not trained. So, they can not play any positive role for the betterment of the country. Bangladesh needs huge vocational training centers as well as computer training centers. Our farmers must be well trained. So, the government will be able to make digital Bangladesh-if the government sets up huge vocational and computer training centers. The farmers must be trained and encouraged by the government. After all, government alone will not make digital Bangladesh. For making digital Bangladesh concerted efforts are must.
